Here, a welding jig for attaching fins to a tube, was simply laid out by tracing around the CAD profile of the tube/fin assembly. Appropriate reliefs and clamping surfaces were added to the profile so the individual parts can be quickly loaded and secured in place.

Note how the support arms have self-locating tabs that lock into place on the base for easy jig assembly.
